Kings Cross Station
Facing the Euston Road and dwarfed by St. Pancras Station, this station frontage belies the large busy station behind. It started off as the terminus of the Great Western Railway and still serves the East Coast Main Line. Perhaps the most famous (or second to the Orient Express) train ran from here - the Flying Scotsman.
The front aspect, dwarfed by St Pancras Station side elevation behind
The Clock Tower. Very important in the days when built as 'Railway time' was be
beginning of time zones as we know them now.
After the run down appearance of St. Pancras and many of the other London stations, the flower displays and attempts to liven up this station are a pleasure to behold.
This station seems to be served mainly by various samples of the old British Rail 125 stock now under the Great North Eastern Railway paintwork
There are pictures inside these sort of trains on the St. Pancras Station Page
