Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue
Situated off Bevis Marks, at the Aldgate end. It is is reputed to be the oldest synagogue in London and possibly the oldest place of worship in the City, having been missed by the Great Fire of London.
Whilst the external facade is a bit bare, there is quite a nice little private square in front.

Not being of this persuasion myself, thus being very ignorant of it, I have linked through here to Golders Green, as being another heavily Jewish area.
