Farringdon Station - Thameslink

Once the Bedford to London Trains terminated at St. Pancras and the Brighton/Sutton to London Trains terminated at London Bridge. Then someone decided that an old, long forgotten tunnel be reopened so that the service now runs right through from Bedford in the south midlands of England to Brighton on the South coast. This station is one of the ones on that link and serves as an excellent connection to the Underground as well as for the Clerkenwell area.

Go to the old terminus at St. Pancras

Northbound from Sutton to Luton coming in

Jump off here to visit Clerkenwell Village and Farringdon

And pushing off again

Go over to the Underground side of the Station

South bound train arriving

For any who are interested these were taken on the 20/8/99
