Being on the Circle loop, the station is not truly underground but rather a cut and partial cover.

Looking down the North/West bound Platform, the crowds at late morning are caused by the Circle line being suspended due to tunnel works on the system, August 1999

Go onto the underground to do some train spotting at Farringdon
